We ethically and sustainably raise 800 lambs annually for direct-to-consumer sales that help to strengthen our local food systems. Our lamb is available for purchase year round but selection may be limited during holiday seasons, so it is never too early to order. Customers can choose a wool lamb from our flock of Polypay sheep or a hair lamb from our flock of Katahdin sheep. Prices may vary depending on weight and breed selection.

Purchase a live lamb directly from Watson Farm in DeKalb, Illinois, located one hour and fifteen minutes from downtown Chicago. Purchase lamb processed by our partner Freedom Sausage in Earlville, Illinois. We are only able to sell a whole lamb at this time. Email Brooke Watson at bwatson@illinoissolargrazing.com to coordinate your processing date. Freedom Sausage will have you select your cuts. Pick-up is directly from Freedom Sausage in Earlville, Illinois. Deliveries by Watson Farms may be available to Chicagoland for an extra fee if ordered between November - March.
